Pia is best known for her series regular role as Katarina Chapman in Australia’s highest rating television series, Home & Away, a role for which she was nominated for Best New Talent at the 2016 TV Week Logie Awards. Pia is also known for roles on Wonderland, Neighbours, East West 101 & the Australian feature film, Big Mamma’s Boy. Pia recently co- starred in Channel 9/Playmaker Media’s 8 part drama TV series, Bite Club and in Paramount Pictures’ US feature, Dora and the Lost City of Gold playing the role of Sabrina alongside Eva Longoria, Isabela Moner and Jeffery Wahlberg.

In 2017, Pia Whitesell was the first Australian Ambassador for both Caltrate Vitamins and Proctor & Gamble’s, Gillette VENUS which saw her front major localised campaigns for two years running. In April 2018, Echo Communications announced Pia as the first Australian artist to partner with French luxury house, GUERLAIN. This relationship saw Pia support the brand throughout 2018 and appear in a micro short film directed by Gracie Otto.

In September 2018, iconic Australian brand Invisible Zinc announced Pia as their Ambassador and in April 2019, Pia fronted the first Australian major advertising campaign for international leading hair care brand PANTENE which is ongoing through til 2021, joining a diverse line-up of fellow strong women around the globe such as Selena Gomez, Priyanka Chopra, Ellie Goulding and Giselle Bunchen, to name a few. 

In September 2019 Pia was unveiled as the new face of luxury jewellery brand, Paspaley - a dream of Pia’s from an early age. This successful campaign lead to Pia becoming the first official muse for the brand, seeing hear appear in major advertising campaigns throughout 2020 and 2021/22.

Pia’s latest venture is a culmination of her understanding of the beauty industry, vast experience working with luxury brands and her own personal wellness philosophy built around an active outdoor lifestyle. Drawing upon her two decades worth of brand knowledge as well as a natural flair for business, Whitesell has spent four years developing Macabalm, a multi-purpose beauty product designed to be as hardworking as she is. Launched in November 2020, she’s made it a priority to be as consciously and sustainably produced as possible.
